The Juneteenth celebration at Bud Gaston Middle School Saturday, June 18, 2016 featured local artists, children dance groups, vendors, African-American art and a history lesson on Juneteenth from Professor Kehinde Solwazi.

Various speakers also talked about the need for community unity, mentorship for our black youth, and cultivating black history in our communities.
