FRESNO, CA --One of the worst mass murders in the city of Fresno's history involved the infamous Marcus Wesson, who on March 12, 2004 was the key culprit in the killing of his nine children/grandchildren/wives.
As of his sentencing June 27, 2005, Wesson is still on death row for nine counts of first-degree murder and 14 sex crimes, including the rape and molestation of his underage daughters which he engaged in incestuous relations with and fathered children with them--thus also his grandchildren.
The only author to first break the story of the intriguing Wesson family dynamics directly after the murders was renowned TV news journalist and commentator, Julia Dudley Najieb, who wrote the book, Marcus Wesson: Mysterious Web of Deception. Soon copy-cat books would follow, based on Dudley Najieb's prior research and direct involvement with the vulnerable Wesson family survivors.
Her book chronicled the intricate details of the day of the murders, the restricted family dynamics imposed by Marcus Wesson and the levels of abuse and duress the women and girls suffered under Wesson's regime.
Dudley Najieb was able to collaborate with celebrity photo journalist, Ken McCoy to include the exclusive photos from the crime scene into the book.
TV ONE's Thou Shalt Not is a one-hour true crime series that pulls back the curtain on individuals who commit the gravest of sins: breaking God's Ten Commandments. Murders, scandals, cover-ups, and deadly affairs are just a few of the crimes in each episode's juicy portrayal of Godless behavior.
Episode 4, Holy Terror, aired Monday, Oct. 2, and included two true crimes, with the beginning 17 minutes featuring the Marcus Wesson murders, where author Dudley Najieb and photo journalist McCoy are featured in the panel of experts throughout that part of the docudrama.
There were reruns throughout the week but in case it was missed on TV, watch the entire episode below:
