FRESNO, CA – The City of Fresno held a ribbon-cutting ceremony Saturday, October 21 to celebrate the completion of its Fulton Street Reconstruction Project, which opens up Fresno’s most historic street to two-way traffic.
The afternoon event took place at the corner of Fulton and Mariposa, and was followed by a Draggin’ The Main, classic and custom car show cruising, carrying VIPs and classic car owners down the newly reconstructed Fulton street.
After speaking, elected officials participated in the ceremonial ribbon-cutting across Fulton Street.
The celebration continued after the ceremony, with a number of events and activities planned and produced by the Downtown Fresno Partnership: several local bands played throughout the day and night. Businesses had their grand openings and re-grand openings to familiarize the public with their products and services.
